KoeDash
Terms of Service
Last updated September 23, 2026
Acceptance of terms
These terms apply to the KoeDash browser extension and website. By using KoeDash, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Description of KoeDash
KoeDash provides smart interactive subtitles for audio playing in a browser tab, dictionary lookup, on-screen scan, translation, and short explanations of a word in a subtitle line. It is a language tool. It is not a substitute for a dictionary, a teacher, or professional advice.
Google account
Some features use a Google account. Sign-in is through Google. KoeDash does not receive your Google password. You are responsible for the Google account you use and for keeping that account secure.
Acceptable use
Use KoeDash only with content you have the right to access. Do not use it to break the law, to interfere with the service, or to overload the API. Do not attempt to bypass sign-in, rate limits, or other controls.
AI-generated content
Some features use third-party artificial intelligence. Translations, explanations, transcriptions, and scan results can be wrong. They are not authoritative. You are responsible for checking a result before you rely on it, including for study, publishing, or any decision.
Third-party services
KoeDash depends on services it does not control, including Google sign-in, Google Gemini, Deepgram, MongoDB Atlas, and Google Cloud Run. Optional Anki export talks to Anki on your own computer. Those services can change, fail, or apply their own terms. KoeDash is not responsible for their outages or for how they handle data under their own policies.
Intellectual property
KoeDash, its name, and the software are owned by their respective owners. Dictionary data used by the service remains under the licenses of those dictionaries. These terms do not give you ownership of KoeDash or of third-party models and data.
User content
You keep your rights in audio, page regions, and text you choose to process. You give KoeDash permission to process that content only to provide the feature you start, including sending it to the providers named in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the rights needed to capture a tab and to scan a region.
Availability and beta status
KoeDash is under development. Features can be incomplete, change, or be turned off. Sign-in may not be required for capture, and subtitle saving may be off. The service is provided as available, without a commitment to a particular uptime.
Disclaimer of warranties
KoeDash is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, KoeDash disclaims warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted operation. Speech recognition, scan, translation, and explanations can fail or be incorrect.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, KoeDash is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost study progress, or reliance on an incorrect transcription, translation, or explanation. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid KoeDash for the service in the three months before the claim. If you have not paid, that amount is zero.
Changes to the service
KoeDash may change, pause, or stop features. Continued use after a change means you accept the service as changed. Material changes to these terms will be posted on this page with a new date.
Account termination
You can stop using KoeDash and sign out at any time. You can permanently delete your account and saved subtitle sessions from the account page. KoeDash may suspend access that breaks these terms or threatens the service.
Governing law
These terms do not yet name a governing law or venue. That choice will be added before KoeDash is offered as a finished public product. Until then, mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence still apply where the law says they cannot be waived.
